Meet Dr. Wood

With more than 35 years of experience, owner and veterinarian Stan Wood DVM is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. This organization has certified him as a specialist in Canine & Feline Practice. Dr. Wood was the first board certified canine/feline specialist in Oregon (1987) and is now one of only 15 board certified canine/feline specialists in the state.

What Board Certification Means

The ABVP certifies practitioners with exceptional knowledge, skill, and competency. Board certified Diplomates have pursued additional training and made a serious commitment to continuing education. Board certified specialists have demonstrated by the certification and maintenance of certification (every 10 years) processes that they are capable of providing a level of clinical practice that is clearly superior to the norm of the profession.
